HANCOCK CO., Ind. (WISH) - A Hancock County contractor has been arrested and is facing fraud charges.


Michael Friery appeared in court for the first time Wenesday after prosecutors in Hancock County charged him with 24 counts of home improvement fraud and 12 counts of theft.


In August, the Indiana Attorney General's office filed a lawsuit against his company, Fishers-based Veteran Construction.


That suit claimed the company conned at least 32 homeowners out of nearly $300,000 before skipping town.
