According to the indictment between July 28, 2011, and February 15, 2013, the group and other unnamed persons, preyed on older homeowners. The got the property owner to agree to one price and when the job was finished they would tack on other charges.
In one instance, the defendants defrauded an elderly couple of $39,280 over the course of nine different transactions by returning to their residence and continuing to create the impression that more money was needed for materials. Ultimately, the crew never did any work on the home.
Racketeering is punishable by up to 20 years behind bars and hefty fines for each count in Georgia.
